April 11

Dear avencri,

Regarding to your question sent this past… sometime… (err… technical difficulties…) which goes something like this:

What is your stance on fancfics? I have noticed that some writter don't have good things to say about them in general.

I have one thing to say:

I was born on fics.

Yep, I admit it people. I LOVE FANFICTION! Heck, I’m sure if Chutkat weren’t so lazy to read fics, she’d love them too. But she’s lazy… So, YOU HAVE OUR PERMISSION TO DO FANFICTION ON DEMOÖN! But, please, if you want to do that, wait first until we’ve reached the… I dunno… many chapters… like… the tenth for example. XD Oh! And since we’re not world-known, be sure to add a disclaimer! Thank you!

Lol, shameless promotion.

Anyway, my first fics were on Saint Seiya… never published them, but I sure as heck did some in Spanish… actually my first English fic ever was a Card Captor Sakura songfic. For CCS I just did that one songfic… lol, I now look back at it and it was sooooo lame, I actually cringe when I read it, lol, but hey, we all start somewhere! XD (In case you didn’t know CLAMP started out as a Dōjinshi group, which, like fic-writers, tend to create alternatives to published works).

Anyway, after that I still kept on reading fics (to this day I still do), but for a long while I simply did some short original stories of all sorts for my own enjoyment, and a lot of poems. I wouldn’t have started writing were it not for fanfics though.

Anyway, sometime later I started writing a bit of more heavy stuff for fics. Heck, I even managed to write in one single chapter like 11000 words! With a lot of mistakes… but… Yeah, I certainly developed my writing quality enormously with fics as well, ‘cause of critics. (My sister never reads my stuff unless it’s Demoön related… or very, very short… ;-; Mom does… but… she’s my mom…. She’ll tell me all’s great, and while that feels good, it doesn’t exactly help.) Anyway, I think fics are just another way for fans to express their joy for the stories, characters, whatever…

Besides, published authors should notice that Fanfiction is beneficial for them, ‘cause a lot of fic-authors tend to write for multiple games, books, whatever, and when people like their stories, they check the fic-authors’ other stories, so they might stumble upon fics of the published authors’ works, which in turn leads to reading the originals. Of course, if the fic-writers tend to write R-rated stories… well, that might be prejudicial, but just like mockeries and critics’ reviews, it is a natural—although, perhaps unwanted—consequence of popularity.

Anyway, even JK Rowling gave Fanfiction her blessing. Want proof? Check this out: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/arts/3753001.stm

But, yeah… I like fics. XD

Thank you!

Have fun!

Dear Anonymous,

Regarding to your question sent this past sometime…again… (technical difficulties, people, technical difficulties), which curiously goes something like this:

Why does the old people wrinkles and shrunk and get dark spots like old apples?

I have one thing to say:

Poor old people.

Anyway, first of all, why do they wrinkle?

Well. There are three main reasons:

Sun, gravity and visage.

It is common knowledge today that UV rays (ultraviolet rays) are harmful for the skin, and it is also common knowledge that these rays come out from the sun. Too bad we need healthy doses of sunlight in order to stay healthy. Want to know how to take healthy doses of UV rays everyday? Want to feel the natural warmth of the sun on your skin? Well, with the following video we present the solution to all your--!

*Ahem*, sorry…

Anyway, the UV rays damage the skin because it damages the DNA, which in turn alters the amounts and kinds of chemicals the skin produces. Now, don’t think you’ll mutate or something because of it. Well… not much, anyway. You’ll simply get a dashing look full of wrinkles, along with other similarly nice characteristics! :D

Second, as we age, our skin loses its elasticity because our body loses fat and muscle. Now, gravity takes full advantage of this non-elastic skin to make it even less elastic. I have to say, though, that you should be happy with gravity, people, ‘cause even though it might make you less elastic, it also makes your sagging go down other than up. Why down is better than up, you ask? Well, you should see for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA5mM1ErRA4 I’m not responsible for lifetime trauma and/or brutal mental damage. It helps prevent some accidents.

Sooo, third reason: Visage. No, not paradises with flowers and sunshine and rainbows and happy shiny things… I mean your facial expressions. When you grimace, smirk, sneer, take your snot out, or basically express any other negative emotion in your face… your face wrinkles. Yep, that’s why you’ve always been told to smile. Not to be happy, no. They don’t care about that. No, they tell you so, so that you don’t get wrinkles. ‘Cause “wrinkles are unsightly,” they say. Curiously enough, though, they are a bit contradictory to this statement themselves… Oh well.

Wisdom may not always come with age… but wrinkles sure do.

Anyway…

…Oh! Curious bit of info here: massages help prevent wrinkles ‘cause they ease the flow of blood in your body.

Anyway…

Oh! Second curious bit of info here: Bronze people wrinkle slower than white people.

Anyway, on to the next:

Why do old people shrink?

Well. Again, just like with the elasticity of the skin, it has to do with loss of body fat, muscle, and a small, daily dose of gravity.

Not all fat is bad, but just like with everything, excess is bad. Anyway, in fact, fat and muscle protect bones from gravity. It is said, even, that gravity shrinks a person over the course of a day ‘cause water in the spinal column is condensed by it. FEAR NOT, my friends, ‘cause you can return to your normal height if you sleep well…

Yes, it is important to rest well lest you end up as, say… Chutkat.

Yep, Chutkat is an exemplary… example. See, instead of resting, she doesn’t sleep… and, as we learned, lack of sleep doesn’t only help her look like a zombie, but it also makes her shrink. So let’s all chain her to the bed, people, ‘cause, really, it’s getting hard to hear her nowadays. XD Small people have it so hard. D:

Anyway, enough about that.

Osteoporosis is another cause.

But, OF COURSE! You can prevent all that with everyday exercise and a rich diet of calcium. Thank you.

Lastly:

Why do old people get dark spot like old apples?

You know? I’d say those dark spots don’t resemble ripe apples as much as they resemble prunes, not only because of appearance, but because curiously enough prunes are actually dried fruits. Reminds you of something? Yes? XD

Anyway, first of all, I should mention something… err… first. These “dark spots” are actually called “liver spots”. No, they don’t have anything to do with the liver, don’t worry… although they are sometimes mistaken for cancerous growths. But they’re harmless, I assure you. But, I do suppose you want to know how they appear, yes? Simple. If our little UV friends visit us way to many times, let’s just say our poor little skin cells get burned, like, forever. Well, maybe not exactly like that, but you get my meaning. XD Anyway, to make a long story short, use sunscreen.

Yep, geez… better stop it here. X.X

Thanks for the question! Have fun!

Greki

PS: If you get mad due to my jokes old people, then I suggest you something: don’t be. I’ll eventually reach that state, and when I do, you can laugh at me as much as you’d like. :D

Dear necro-loup,

Regarding to your question sent this past… Oh, darn it. Do I really have to repeat myself? TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES! OK? YEAH? GOT IT?

Anyway, to me, which goes:

Which one is your favorite teenage ninja turtle?

I have to say one thing:

Oh, darn it… I knew I should have paid attention to cartoons…

It’s just… well, I kinda-like… let’s say… forgot… all about them. So… I had to do a bit of research.

Annnnd… This is the result:

I can surely say that I’m now certainly sure, more than ever, that I really don’t know what’s up with people these days…

And well… it didn’t exactly help me choose my favorite…

Hmm…

Probably the oversized mouse-thing…

Oh well…

Thanks for the question!

Have fun!

Ps: I like Raphael, ‘cause he got a kick-arse bike. XD
